Sartori Cheese

Sartori is a fourth-generation, family owned artisan cheese producer. Winning over 330 of the most prestigious domestic and international awards, Sartori's premium cheese is one of the finest Wisconsin has to offer!  Sartori was founded in 1939 by Paolo Sartori, who brought his Italian heritage to Wisconsin, along with a passion for cheesemaking that sparked a family-run business.  Paolo chose Wisconsin of all the areas in the Midwest to found Sartori due to Wisconsin's rich history of agriculture, work ethic, and climate ideal of dairy farming.

Throughout each generation of Sartori family leadership, they have always been united under one mission: to make the best cheese in the world.  With over 40 licensed cheesemakers at Sartori, including two Master Cheesemakers, Sartori continues to impress the cheese world with their innovative, Wisconsin-original cheeses.

Pam Hodgson (pictured above) is a certified Master Cheesemaker, a status that only five percent of all licensed cheesemakers in Wisconsin have attained.  Her innovative approach to cheesemaking has led to some of Sartori's original creations, including the incredibly popular (and delicious) MontAmoré.  Pam is certified in Asiago, Fontina, MontAmoré, and Parmesan.

Ken Kane, also a certified Master Cheesemaker, was named after his grandfather, who was a dairy farmer and cheesemaker un the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Ken is certified in Parmesan and Romano cheeses, which are the two cheeses he first learned to make when learning to make cheese.

A Sartori-family original, Bellavitano cheese is inspired by traditional, Italian farmstead cheese.  Bellavitano cheese features a rich and creamy texture with a great, crave-able taste reminiscent of an aged, premium Wisconsin Cheddar cheese balanced by a full-flavored Parmesan.  Available in a wide variety of flavors including Merlot, Espresso, and Chardonnay, the Bellavitano family of cheeses is not to be missed!
