Chalet Cheese Butterkäse is a semi-soft, German-style masterpiece known for its extraordinary creaminess and mild, approachable flavor. True to its name (Butterkäse translates literally to "butter cheese"), this golden-hued delicacy has a high butterfat content that delivers a rich, melt-in-your-mouth texture without the sharp tang of aged cheeses.
Expertly crafted by the Chalet Cheese Cooperative, a farmer-owned institution in Green County, Wisconsin, since 1885. By combining traditional Old World techniques with Wisconsin's legendary milk, Chalet continues to produce a "butter cheese" that is a staple for both simple snacking and gourmet melting.
