Wisconsin is the leading producer of Cheddar cheese in the United States. It is no surprise that Cheddar cheese is our most popular cheese sold. This Wisconsin-made medium Cheddar cheese has been aged 6+ months. Each cheese wheel is wrapped in a bandage and hand waxed, which helps develop a creamy taste with sweet and distinct Cheddar notes. The texture of the Cheddar cheese wheel is semi-soft and springy, and may be slightly dryer towards the outside of the cheese wheel due to the bandaged wrapping. Each cheese wheel is five pounds of Wisconsin-made medium Cheddar cheese coated in black wax. This cheese has been awarded many medals in both the US and World Cheese Championship contests.
