Crafted in North Holland, Delft Blue is a rich, approachable Dutch blue cheese named after the iconic blue-and-white earthenware from the city of Delft. Made using traditional artisan methods, the cheese is aged on natural pine boards to allow its distinctive blue veining and velvety texture to fully mature.
The milk comes from cows grazing on the lush, mineral-rich pastures of the Beemster Polder, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for producing naturally sweet and creamy dairy.
Texture:
Velvety smooth, soft, and remarkably creamy with a gentle melt on the palate.
Flavor:
Mildly tangy and buttery with a delicate, balanced blue bite that avoids any harsh sharpness.
Perfect Pairings:
🍷 Sip: Port, sweet Riesling, Stout, or a rich Cabernet Sauvignon.
🥖 Chew: Dried figs, landjaeger, honeycomb, or dark chocolate.
🍴 Make: Crumble over a warm steak salad, melt into a creamy pasta sauce, or spread onto crisp pear slices.
