As gouda cheese ages, it develops milk crystallization deposits. This Marieke Gouda is creamy and extremely flavorful, a wonderful example of an aged Gouda. Marieke Premium Gouda is aged for 9-12 months. Gouda cheese has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor that becomes more complex as it ages on wooden shelves. Produced by Marieke Gouda in Thorp, WI.
