Collection: 2023 US Championship Cheese Competition

The United States Championship Cheese Contest is a biennial competition hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association that began in 1981.   This year marks the 21st championship, and entries are evaluated by a team of skilled technical judges from across the nation.  With a maximum possible 100 points, deductions are made for various defects in the flavor, body and texture, salt, color, finish, packaging, and other attributes. 

Gold (Best of Class), Silver, and Bronze are awarded to the three highest-scoring entries in each class.
