There's something about cheeseboards that make them extra special. Not only are they beautiful to look at (and delicious to eat), but they are hand-crafted with care (not to mention a blast to put together!). Cheeseboards can appeal to any pallet when you include a variety of cheeses and an assortment of add-ons. Whether you like it sweet, savory, or somewhere in between, you can fit it all onto your next cheeseboard.
THE ASSEMBLY
1. What to serve it on? Serve the cheese on a decorative platter, wooden cutting board, or marble or slate cheese board
2. Select your cheeses. Try to include a variety of flavors and textures of cheese on your board by selecting cheeses from different families. See below for our recommendations!
3. Add some meat. Summer sausage, salami, and pepperoni are some of our favorites!
4. Include a savory component. Savory components like olives, pickles, nuts, mustards, or spicy jelly add a depth of flavor to your board.
5. Include a sweet component. Sweeten things up with fresh (or dried) fruits, preserves, honey (especially great drizzled on blue cheese!), or even chocolate.
6. Don't forget the bread! Baguettes, crisp crackers, and breadsticks are all great to serve on or alongside your board.
7. Finish with garnish. Add some accents and pops of color to your board with your garnish. You can add fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme, or chives, or even edible flowers! For another fun addition, add some fruit cut into fun shapes, such as a kiwi carved into a flower, or other fancy fruit cuts.

OTHER TIPS AND TRICKS
- Unwrap the cheese and let it come to room temperature before serving
- Leave the rinds on the cheese - not only are most of them edible and add flavor and depth to the cheeses, they also help differentiate the cheeses from others
- Use a separate knife for each cheese to prevent mixing flavors.
- When plating your cheeses, elevate your board by placing the full blocks on the board and only slice off a few slices to start. This allows guests to cut off the size piece they would like, rather than pre-slicing all the cheeses. Should you choose to pre-slice the cheese, arrange the slices/pieces in the original shape of the block, if possible.
